The wind direction sensor WRG/O measures the horizontal wind direction and trnnsforms this value into a linear analog output signal. This signal can be on the further use of display devices, recorders, data loggers, and process control systems are disclosed. All essential parts are made of anodized aluminum and are painted separately. The assembly is preferably carried on a pole or a traverse. For winter operation, the wind instrument is equipped with an electronically controlled heating system to prevent freezing.
